A few weeks ago, I got to spend a magical week at my yogic home of Laughing Lotus. I completed a 50 hour training over that week, into Super Sequencing- or advanced sequencing within Lotus Flow.
It was all special and amazing, but the best part was to be able to spend a day learning from the one and only, Dana Trixie Flynn.
For those who may not know Dana- she's the founder of Laughing Lotus and an absolute force of nature! She's one of the best teachers around, who has been massively influential on tons of yoga teachers (myself very much included!) over the years. She's also one of the kindest, most joyful people you'll ever meet. it was such an honor to learn from her. Also, her class? Kicked. Our. Asses. And we were grateful for it!
The week was broken out over four days, exploring one yogic path per day, with our final teaching practicum and graduation on the fifth and final day. The four paths we explored were Bhakti, Karma, Jnana and Raja yoga- with Dana, Sheri Celentano, Deb Langely and Ali Cramer, respectively. So a super yogia powerhouse team!
We broke down the asana sequencing, but it was so much deeper. We really talked about what each path means and how it manifests for each of us on, and most importantly, off the mat. We spent a lot of time talking about how our practice is intertwined with our lives and how these practices ground and support us as yogis and teachers. I feel fundamentally changed as both after this training.
I feel so so blessed to have studied not just with my teachers, but with my fellow yogis who were a beautifully diverse group! I can already see and feel the difference in my personal practice and in my teaching!
