YIN
We don't use the body to get into the pose. We use the pose to get into the body. -Bernie Clark
Yin yoga is a complementary practice to our vinyasa or hatha practice. Instead of using our muscles, yin yoga asks us to get into our connective tissues- what holds our muscles and bones together. Poses are held for time to allow for a gradual release but yin should not be confused with restorative yoga. Youโll feel a lot! But this profound practice is suitable for all levels of practice, including absolute beginners.
We will use props in this class. For friends at home, if you have yoga blocks and a bolster, great! If you donโt, grab some bed pillows, and a few blankets or towels.
In studio & online.
Sundays, 9:45-10:45am

Suryaside
Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00am
YIN
This class is particularly suited for those who seek a more flexible body and a quieter, calmer mind. It is more inward-drawn practice that utilizes long-held postures which target Yin parts of body; connective tissues, such as the fascia, ligaments, tendons, bones, and joints.
Postures are very simple, but for some it can be quite challenging due to the long period of time the poses are held, the stillness, and silence which require more awareness of the here and now.
In studio & online.
Sundays, 6:00-7:15pm
YINYASA
Yin yoga is a complementary practice to our vinyasa or hatha practice. Instead of using our muscles, yin yoga asks us to get into our fascia, or connective tissues- what holds our muscles and bones together. Poses are held for time to allow for a gradual release. Unlike restorative yoga, you might feel quite a lot of sensation but this practice is great for all practitioners. We'll end class with a brief but vigorous flow, moving from fascia back into muscle, to find the balance between yin and yang.

LEVEL II VINYASA
